Observe first, then start
Start from shape, proportion and materials to understand the reasons behind methods, then apply them to the work.
06 / ABOUT YAN WORKSHOP
Street Art as a core, linking teaching, space and brand. From foundational training on paper to walls, roller shutters, tote bags and three-dimensional objects, bring art into classrooms, communities and everyday life.

OUR STUDIO / Hong Kong Art Studio
YAN WORKSHOP is based in Hong Kong, with two studios in San Po Kong / Kwun Tong. Traditional painting, street art and digital creation meet here, offering different art learning pathways for children, teenagers and adults.
We also collaborate with schools, social service organisations, businesses and commercial brands to provide murals, On-site Art Lessons, team co-creation and commissioned paintings. From understanding needs to putting brush to wall, we treat every story with the same patience.

MEET YAN SIR / Founder
Yan Sir graduated from City University of Hong Kong, trained under 劉忠 and Pantone C, with over 8 years of art teaching experience. He has taught street art, spray painting, sketching, oil painting, acrylic, watercolour and 3D modelling at educational institutions and studios.
Classes do not only aim to finish a single work; they emphasise observation, experimentation, selection and revision. Students’ subjects, levels and styles may differ; feedback starts from each individual’s starting point.
OUR APPROACH / What We Value
Start from shape, proportion and materials to understand the reasons behind methods, then apply them to the work.
Demonstrations are not the only answers. Through drafts, colour tests and feedback, preserve learners’ and brands’ own choices.
We do not rank by speed of completion; when using reference materials we respect the original creators, and obtain appropriate consent before publishing students’ portraits and works.
